Weddings

Please note that I am unable to conduct a Marriage Ceremony, however I can offer my services for a Wedding Celebration. This means the happy couple will already be married, probably from a civil ceremony obtained from the local Register Office. Outside of this, I offer multiple, unique services tailored just for you.

Quaich Cup

The Quaich, or the love cup, is a traditional Scottish ritual where you each take a handle and drink, showing you trust one another to share the cup. The cup can be filled with alcohol or a drink of your choice,  or you can combine two drinks, symbolising the two of you becoming one.

Handfasting

Handfasting

Hand-Binding or handfasting is an ancient Celtic ritual in which the hands are tied together to symbolize the binding of two lives. The ribbons can be selected to match star signs or simply an individual's choice of colours.

This ritual is where the term 'Tying the Knot' is believed to have come from, and was performed by a Shaman or Elder of the village.

Ring Blessing

Ring Blessing

This is done by placing the rings inside a large hoop and passing them around your guests. These loved ones imbue the rings with a blessing or wish for the newly married couple before returning them to the front, where the bride and groom will put the rings on one another's fingers.

It is a wonderful way to get everyone involved in the ceremony and create memories to last a lifetime.
